In 2020, while finished her Computer Science Degree at Fordham University and surviving through the racial trauma and COVID crisis, the vision for Claim Our Space NOW was born. A dynamic movement which serves to ritualize community care and action to dismantle white supremacy and save all Black lives. 

 

From organizing her friends who heard the call in Instagram DMs to building a nonprofit organization, Marla has fiercely led a mighty team of volunteers for COSpace to become a powerful force (online and IRL) that makes political education, life saving activations, and grassroots organizing accessible to all to build and mobilize power for all Black lives.
