Testimonials
“I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and mentorship I received from Marla in the start up of my freelance modeling journey. From teaching me the fundamentals to helping me develop my own unique style, Marla has been an invaluable mentor. Thanks to their advice and encouragement, I've grown both personally and professionally. They not only shared their knowledge but also believed in me every step of the way, and for that, I am truly thankful.”
— Sahra, “Grow as WE Go“ modeling mentee
“Honestly, this was my first time working with Marla and it was a great experience. With the selected tarot cards they presented me with has given me much to reflect on where I am in this chapter of my life. I appreciated their making the time for me not only to open up but also for the both of us to exchange ideas on how the explanatory power of these cards correlate to the various angles of how I could be navigating this chapter in terms of what needs to be revisited, reexamined and/or left behind for the better. I would highly recommend booking Marla again.”
— Patrick Jonathan Derilus, Tarot Client
“Marla is an incredible leader! I have been organizing with Claim Our Space Now in a volunteer capacity since early 2024 and I have learned so much about what good leadership looks like and the skills and traits I would like to carry into my own leadership style. Marla respects our time. At every turn, they are checking in with us about how we're feeling and if we need to take breaks and let others support us.”
— B, Director of organizing at Claim Our Space Now
“Marla is an incredible collaborator and brings such a refreshing energy to storytelling. In working directly with them, they can take direction well and offer an openness that is always welcome. They are a team player and know how to simultaneously shine and support their fellow cast mates.”
— Tara Jackson, Dance Captain at Broadway’s Hadestown
“Working with Marla in stewardship has been a reintroduction to the revolution. I joined Claim Our Space Now after burnout from community organizing and defense. Marla reminded me that moving with ease to create consistent, ritualistic care within your community not only keeps the faith alive, but also that the care I put into my community is ready to flow right back to me in my times of need. To work with Marla is to stretch out of your comfort zone and into an irresistible revolutionary practice within your artistry, community service, and daily life.”
